Located one hour northwest of Pittsburgh at the SNPJ Recreation Center in the Borough of SNPJ (Enon Valley), Pa., the SNPJ Slovenian Heritage Center is dedicated to maintaining and promoting the Slovenian culture here in the United States. Admission to the SNPJ Heritage Center is free. The Center takes the visitor on a journey to the old world as it showcases authentic Slovenian costumes, household items, artwork and crafts.
The SNPJ Slovenian Heritage Center is open each Sunday afternoon in May from 1 to 5 p.m., then Saturdays 1 to 5 p.m. in June, July and August. Special tours can be arranged with advance reservations.
Slovenefest, a three-day event held the second weekend of July at the SNPJ Recreation Center in the Borough of SNPJ, PA, brings together thousands to enjoy the ethnic food, music, culture and fun of Slovenia.There’s never a dull moment at Slovenefest – the Entertainment runs continuously from noon until late at night. Special entertainment for children is arranged by the SNPJ Fraternal Department. Camping facilities and RV hookups are available, parking is free, and there is access to a first-aid tent. Don’t miss the Saturday evening fireworks display (weather permitting).
